before me personally appeared John Leander Spinolla 
(satisfactory proved) to me by the Oath of Frederick 
B. Allen to be the same person whose name is subscribed 
to the foregoing indenture as a subscribing witness thereto 
who being by me duly sworn did depose and say 
that he was present and saw Burr H. Betts men
tioned and discibed in the foregoing indenture ex
ecuted, and acknowledged the said indenture as 
his act and deed and that he together with S. Stone 
at the time of said execution at the request of said Betts 
Subscribed his name as a witness to the execution 
of said deed which being to me satisfactory Proof 
of the ded ececution of said indenture and 
there being no material alteration erased or interli
neations except those already noted.  I allow the
