This Indenture made the thirteenth day
of April in the Year of Our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and twenty seven. Between William
W. Wells, Benjamin R. Wells of the City of New
York, and Cintha W. Wells of Middletown, Orange
County and State of New York, the children and
heirs at law of Nathaniel Wells deceased of
the first part and Morgan Davis of the City
of New York of the second part, Witnesseth
that the said parties of the first part, for
and in consideration of the sum of two hundred
and fifty dollars lawful money of the United
States of America to them in hand paid at &
before the ensealing and delivery of these presents
by the said parties of the second part the Re
