said parties of the first part there with ful
ly satisfied contented and paid, have granted 
bargained sold, aliened remised, released conveyed 
and confirmed and by these presents Do grant 
bargain, sell alien, remise, release convey and confirm 
unto the said party of the second part and to 
his heirs and assigns forever, All those one thou
sand acres of land being part of a thirty thou
sand acres of land is and undivided part of a certain 
Great Tract of land containing two hundred and 
eighty nine thousand six hundred and forty five 
acres and five sevenths of an acre or there abouts 
Situate lying and being in the Alachua Teritory 
East Florida West of St. Augustine, heretofore 
granted by the Spanish Government to Don Fer
nando De la Maza Arredondo and son by grant 
bearing date at Havanna on or about the twenty 
eight day of December in the year of Our Lord 
one thousand eight hundred and seventeen the 
said large tract of two hundred and eighty nine 
thousand six hundred and forty five acres and 
forty five seventh of an acre being here after to 
be divided into twelve parts and those parts to be 
balloted for by the parties interested therein and division to 
be made, which said thirty thousand acres of Land out of 
which the said One thousand Acres are to be taken was hereto 
fore conveyed by the said Fernando de la Maza Arredondo & 
Son by Burr H. Betts their Attorney, to the said Nathaniel Wells 
deceased, by Virtue of a power of Attorney bearing date the Sixth 
day of June in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred 
and twenty one, and recorded in the Office of the Register in and for 
the City and County of New York, in Lib No 1 of powers of Attorney 
page 229 the thirteenth day of June 1820 reference being thereto 
had, will more fully appear, Together with all and Singular the 
Tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances, whatsoever unto the 
said above mentioned and discribed premises in any wise appurt
aining or belonging, and the reversion and reversions remainder &
