  This Indenture made the twentieth day of November in the year of 
Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven, Between Morgan 
Davis of the City of New York, Peairs Firtimalich and Sophia L. His wife 
parties of the first part, and Joseph Delacroix, late of the City of New York 
party of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part 
for and in consideration of Sum of, three hundred Dollars lawful money 
of the United States of America, to them in hand paid, at or before the enseal
ing and delivery of these presents by the said party of the second part the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold 
aliened, remited, released, conveyed, and confirmed, and by these presents 
do grant, bargain, sell, alien, remitt, release, convey and confirm unto the 
said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns.  All those 
One thousand Acres of Land, being part of the thirty thousand acres 
of land, is and undivided part of a certain great Tract of land, containing 
two hundred and eighty nine thousand, six hundred and forty five acres 
and five sevenths of and acre or thereabouts, Situate lying and being in the
Alachua Teritory, East Florida, West of St. Augustine heretofore granted 
by the Spanish Government to Don Fernando De La Mara Arredondo 
and Son, by grant, bearing date at Havanna, on or about the twenty eighth 
day of December, in the year of Our Lord, One thousand eight hundred and 
seventeen, the said large tract of two hundred & eighty nine thousand six 
hundred and forty five acres and five sevenths of an acre being hereafter to 
be divided into twelve part, and those parts to be balloted for by the parties
interested therein, and division to be made, which said thirty thousand acres 
of  land, out of which the said One thousand are to be taken, was hereunto 
conveyed by the said Fernando de la Mara Arredondo and son by Burr H. Betts 
their attorney to Nathaniel Wells deceased, by virtue of a power of Attorney dated
the sixth day of June in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred 
and and twenty one, and recorded in the Office of the Register in and for 
the City and County of New York in Lib. No1 of Powers of Attorney page 
two hundred and twenty nine, the thirtieth day of June one thousand eight 
hundred and twenty one, reference being thereunto had will more fully 
appear.  Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and 
appurtenances unto the above mentioned and discribed premises in any way
appurtaining or belonging, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and 
Remainders, rents issues and profits thereof, and all the Estate, rights titles 
interest, Dower and rights of Dower, property, possession, claim and demand 
whatsoever, as well in Law as in Equity, of the said parties of the first part of
