This Indenture made this 3rd day of July in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight 
hundred and twenty One Between Nathaniel Wells of the City & State of New York Merchant 
of the first part and Samuel Robbins of the same place Merchant of the second part Witness
eth, that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred 
and fifty Dollars lawful money of the United States of America, to him in hand paid by the 
said party of the second part, at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and the said party of the second part his heirs 
executors and administrators forever released and discharged from the same by these 
presents, Hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, enfeoffed conveyed 
and confirmed, and by these presents Doth grant bargain, sell, alien, remise, release 
enfeoff, convey and confirm, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs & assigns 
forever, All that five hundred acres of Land, being a parcel of thirty thousand acres 
which said thirty thousand acres of Land is an undivided part of a certain great tract 
of Land containing Two hundred and eighty nine thousand six hundred & forty five 
acres and five sevenths of an acre or thereabouts, situate lying and being in the Alachua 
Territory East Florida, West of St. Augustine, hereuntofore granted by the Spanish 
Government to Don Fernando de la Mara Arredondo and Son by grant bearing date 
at Havanna, on or about the twenty eighth day of December, in the year One thousand 
eight hundred & seventeen, the said large tract of Two hundred and eighty nine 
thousand Six hundred & forty five acres and five seventh of an acre, being hereafter 
to be divided into twelve parts, and those parts to be balloted for, by the parties 
interested therein or a division to be made, which said thirty thousand acres of land 
out of which the said five hundred acres is to be taken, was heretofore conveyed 
by the said Don Fernando de la Mara Arredondo and son by Burrr H. Betts their 
attorney to the said Nathaniel Wells, by virtue of a Power of Attorney bearing date the 
sixth day of June in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty One and 
recorded in the Office of Register in and for the City & County of New York on Lib.1 of 
Powers of Attorney and page 229 the thirtieth day of June 1821, reference being 
had to the said Power of Attorney or the registry thereof as will more fully appear 
Together with all and singular Tenements, hereditaments, rights, members, privileges
