This Indenture, Made the sixteenth day of September
in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Nine Hundred
and Twelve between S.H. Baldwin and Jessie Thayer
Baldwin husband and wife of the County of New Haven
and State of Connecticut of the first part, and Simon
Coward of the County of Alachua State of Florida
of the second part, Witnesseth: That the said parties
of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum
of Three hundred fifty and no/100 Dollars, lawful money
of the United States of America, to them in hand paid by
the said party of the second part, at or before the
ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bar-
gained, sold, aliened, remised, released, conveyed
and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bar-
gain, sell, alien, remise, convey, and confirm unto
the said party of the second part and his heirs
and assigns forever, all that lot, piece or parcel
of land lying and being in the County of Alachua
and State of Florida, described as follows:
The Westerly two-thirds of the block made up of
Lots numbered 39, 40, 41 and 42 of the original
plat of the Town of Melrose Florida. The above described
tract of land beginning at the North West corner
of property of F.W. Tolles goes thence West 200 feet
more or less on Bellamy Ave to Quail Street thence
East South 300 ft more or less on Quail Street to highway
200 feet more or less on highway (this line inserted as shown on transcription)
to the south west corner of Property of
F.W. Tolles thence North 300 feet more or less to the point of beg-
inning. The same being a part of the land des-
cribed in a deed from A. Goodson and wife to
M.D. Grainger and recorded Jan 2, 1880 in deed
book "L" at pages 296, 298 and 299
