fail to elect hereunder to purchase the said lands within the
time above provided for, then and in that event this obligation
shall become null and void, and in such case the said sum
of $ 50.00 hereinabove receipted for shall be forfeited to the said
first parties by the second party.
And the said first parties do covenant and warrant to the said
second party that the said lands are free from any and all
incumbrances except the said mortgage to G.K. Broome above
mentioned, and that they are the true and lawful owners of
said land, and have good and lawful right to contract to
sell and convey the said lands as they have in manner and
form hereby done.

I hereby certify that on this day before me personally appeared
C.W. Mc Donald, and Mrs Nellie May Mc Donald, his wife,
to me well known, and by me well known to be the identi-
cal persons described in and who executed the foregoing opt-
ion, and they each and severally acknowledged to and be-
fore me that they executed the same for the uses and pur-
poses therein contained and expressed.
And the said Nellie May Mc Donald, the wife of the
said C.W. Mc Donald, on an examination had and taken
by and before me separate and apart from her said hus-
band, acknowledged to and before me that she executed
the said instrument, and joined with her said husband
in the execution thereof freely and voluntarily, and with-
out any apprehension, fear, compulsion or constraint of or
from her said husband.
