of the said S.D. Wells one of the grantors in the
above conveyance, and to me known to be one
of the persons described in said conveyance, and
the said Alice L. Wells on an examination taken
and made by me separate and apart from her
said husband, did acknowledge that she made
herself a part to the said deed for the purpose
of renouncing and relinquishing her dower, or
right of dower, in and to the lands, tenements
and hereditaments therein described and thereby
granted and released, and that she executed said
deed freely and voluntarily and without any
compulsion, constraint, apprehension or fear of
or from her said husband.
