described premises to the said Equitable Loan
& Security Company so that neither the said Fitz
hugh Knox and Lena B. Knox nor their heirs, nor
any other person or persons claiming under them
shall at any time, by any means, or ways, have
claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid
described premises or its appurtenances, or any

to be the persons described in and who executed the
foregoing deed to the Equitable Loan & Security Com
pany, and severally acknowledged the execution
thereof to be their free act and deed for the uses and
purposes therein mentioned; and the said Lena
B. Knox the wife of the said Fitzhugh Knox on
a separate and private examination taken and
made by and before me and separately and a
part from her said husband, did acknowledge
that she made herself a party to the said deed for
the purpose of renouncing, relinquishing and con
veying, all her right, title and interest, whether
of dower, homestead or otherwise in and to the
lands therein described, and that she executed
said deed freely and without any constraint,
fear, apprehension or compulsion of or from
