On this day came the plaintiff in person
and the defendants by M. Whit Smith Esqr. their attorney, and
issue being joined, thereupon came a Jury, to wit, Wm J. Turner
James Pendarvis, N.A. Strobahr, Robert Campbell, John
H. Stephens, Wayne Tullis, John Sparkman, W.W. Scott
Israel Sherouse, Joseph Thomas and J.M. Sparkman,
who were duly elected, tried and sworn the truth to speak
upon the issue joined, Robert Youngblood, Thos A. Brad=
=ford, James Kelly, and Robert Campbell & Jno Parr were examined
as witnesses in behalf of the plaintiff Defendant, And the Said
Jury having heard the evidence, and the arguments of Counsel,
and the charge of the Court, retired out of Court to consider
of their verdict; and thereafter, and upon the same day, the
Jury returned into Court, and rendered the following verdict
We, the Jury find for the plaintiff, and assess his dam=
=ages at Six hundred and fifty three dollars and twenty
five cents, ($653. 25/100). Thereupon it is considered and
adjudged by the Court, that the plaintiff do have and
