to consider of there Verdict and thereupon and the
same day the said Jury returned into Court and rendered
the following Verdict, We the Jury find the Defendant
not Guilty


State of Florida    }  Solicitor
         vs         }  Playing and betting at Cards
John T. Prevatt     }  Mitchell & McIntosh

On this day came as well the Solicitor of the State
of Florida James M. Baker Esq who prosecutes the pleas
of the State in this behalf and the Defendant in person
and his Counsel Messrs Mitchell & McIntosh and the
said Defendant plead not Guilty thereupon came a Jury
to Wit Jonathan Turner Thomas W. Green I.J. Carter Nathl
Jones Isaac Johns Montieth Bruton William Hearn John
Rawls C.N. Bone William Mott Josiah Seckinger and
Daniel Lynn Who were duly Elected Tried and Sworn
a true verdict to render Samuel W. Burnett Lemuel
Wilson and Elijah Barrow were examined as Witnesses in
behalf of the State and the said Jury having heard
the Evidence and the arguments of the Council and the
Charge of the Court retired out of Court to consider
of there verdict, and thereupon and upon the same day
the said Jury returned in to Court and rendered the
following verdict, We the Jury find the Defendant
Guilty - thereupon the Court assessed the punishment at
a fine of Ten dollars - It is therefore considered by the Court
that the State of Florida have and recover of and from the
said John T. Prevatt the Sum of Ten dollars the fine assessed
as aforesaid, and all costs in and about this prosecution expended
