                     On this day came as well as the
Solicitor of the State of Florida James M. Baker Esq
who prosecutes the pleas of the State in that behalf
and the Defendant in person, and his Council Messrs
Mitchell & McIntosh and the said Defendant pleads
not Guilty thereupon came a Jury to Wit S.J. Downing
Clem Seckinger Arnold Thigpen Wiley S. Burnett David
Ridaught William Sapp Isham Peacock Britton Dixon
R.K. Ault Samuel Slaughter Thomas Slaughter George
Sharp Who were duly Ellected tried and Sworn
a true Verdict to give render Samuel W. Burnett
Elijah Barrow were Examined as Witnesses in behalf of
the State, and the said Jury having heard the Evidence
and the arguments of the Council and the Charge of
Court retired out of Court to Consider of there verdict
and thereupon and upon the Same day the said
Jury returned in to Court and rendered the following
verdict We the Jury find the Defendant not Guilty
