On this day came the parties by their Attorneys, and
Issue being Joined, thereupon came a Jury, to wit, Thomas W. Green
Nathaniel Jones C.N. Bone William Mott William Sapp Isaac
Johns M. Bruton S.J. Downing Elijah Barrow
John G. Rawls Richard H. Ault James E. Johnson
who were duly elected tried and Sworn, to try the Issue, and a true
verdict to render, A. Floyd was examined as a witness in behalf of
the plaintiff, and the said Jury having heard the evidence, and the
argument of Council, and the charge of the Court, returned out of Court to
consider of their verdict, whereupon, and upon the same day the Said
Jury returned into Court and rendered the following verdict , we the
the Jury find for the plaintiff, and assess his damages at Seventy dollars
It is therefore considered by the Court that the said plaintiff do have
and recover of and from the said Defendant the Sum of Seventy Dollars
for his damages and all his costs in and about this Suit expended
