Recognized in the sum of one thousand dollars, five hundred for
principle, and five hundred dollars for the security I.J. Carter
William J. Caston and I.J. Carter appeared in open Court
and acknowledged themselves to owe and stand indebted to the
State of Florida in the sum of one thousand dollars, that is to
Say the said William J. Caston in the sum of five hundred
dollars, and the said I.J. Carter in the sum of five hundred
dollars, to be levied of their respective goods and chattles,
Slaves lands and Tenements, If default be made in the following
condition, that is to say, if the said William J. Caston shall
be and appear at the next term of this Court, to answer and
Indictment against him for an Assault with intent to kill, and Shall
not thence depart from the Court without leave, then this obligation
to be null and void, else to remain in full force and virtue
