Whereas it has been made known to me
the undersigned Thomas Douglass, Judge of the Circuit Court in and
for the Circuit aforesaid, that there is no Coroner in and for Alachua County
in the said Circuit and that a case of necessity exists for the appointment
of an Elisor in said County, to serve and execute process upon Charles
L. Wilson, Sheriff of said County, Now therefore I the said Thomas
Douglass Judge as aforesaid, By virtue of the power and authority in
me by law vested have appointed, and by these presents do appoint
Isaiah Floyd of said County, an Elisor with full power and authority
to serve and execute upon the said Charles L. Wilson Sheriff as aforesaid
all and every process that shall or may be issued by the Clerk of the Circuit
Court of Alachua and Levy Counties in said Circuit against the
said Clarkes L. Wilson Sheriff as aforesaid, so long as such case of ne-
cessity may or shall exist.
Given under my hand and private seal (having
no seal of Office) this 12th day of November A.D.
1850 at Jacksonville in the Circuit aforesaid
