The State of Florida  }
         vs           }  Manslaughter
William Beck          }               Now in this day came
                      } the Jury aforesaid, in charge of the Bailliff
aforesaid into court, and announced that they could not
and were not likely to agree upon their verdict, - Whereupon
by consent of parties, said cause was withdrawn from
the Jury and they were discharged, - and cause
continued until next Term
The State of Florida  }
         vs           }  Manslaughter
William Beck          }           Now on this day
                      }  comes the said William Beck, and
moves the Court to be admitted to depart until the next
Term of this Court upon entering into recognizance for
that purpose.  Whereupon the said William Beck here in
Court acknowledged himself to be indebted to the State of
Florida, in the sum of one thousand dollars, to be
levied of his goods and chattels lands and tenements, and the
Caleb Higginbotham, and Henry Sweeney, severally
acknowledged themselves to be indebted to the State of Florida
in the sum of Five hundred dollars each, to be levied of their
respective goods and chattels lands and tenements, Yet
upon this condition, that if the said William Beck, shall
personally appear at the next Term of this Court to be
holden, in and for the County of Alachua, before the Judge of
this court, to answer the State of Florida of and concerning
the Larceny aforesaid and shall not depart thence, without the
leave of the said judge, then this recognizance to be void.


The State of Florida  }
        vs            }  Carrying Arms Secretly
William J. Caston     }
                         Now on this day comes the State of
Florida, by James M. Baker, the Solicitor, and moves the
Court for leave to enter Judgment of non: pros: the said
defendant appears, and pleads guilty to the charges laid
in said Indictment, Whereupon the Court assessed the
punishment to a fine of Five dollars - It is therefore
ordered that the State of Florida do recover of the
said defendant, the said sum of Five dollars, and the costs of
this prosecution, and it is further ordered that the said
defendant do stand committed until the fine and costs
are paid -
