       vs         }  Assault with intent to kill
Asa Harrison      }
                     And now in this day came as well the Solicitor of
the State of Florida, James M. Baker Esqr, who prosecutes the
pleas of the State in this behalf, and the Defendant in person
and his Attorney Mcqueen McIntosh, and the Defendant plead not
guilty, thereupon came a Jury to wit:  John A. Cellon,
Bryan Rollins, Wm R. Paisley, Saml R. Piles, Wm B.
Wimberly, Jas M. Stewart Joseph Whiteman, John Denton, Z.G. Stroble
John Wiggins, A. Hague, G.U. Ellis

Leml Wilson, Swepson Whitehead, E. Barrow
were examined as witnesses in behalf of the State, and the said Jury having
heard the evidence and the arguments of Counsel, and the charge of
the Court, retired out of Court to consider of their verdict, and after
remaining out for a length of time returned into Court and anounced
to the Court that they could not agree upon their verdict, Said was
Jury was by consent of parties discharged from the further consid-
eration of the case
