The court met pursuant to adjournment.

Of Charles L. Wilson as Elisor }
Of Levy County }
Whereas it has been made known to this
Court that there is no Sheriff duly qualified, nor Coroner, in and for the County
of Levy, in this Judicial Circuit, and that the necessity exists for the appointment
of an Elisor in and for said County, to serve and execute process therein: It is order
ed that an Elisor be appointed, and Charles L. Wilson, sheriff of Alachua County is
is hereby appointed an Elisor, with full power and authority to serve and execute all
and every process that shall or may be issued for service or execution in Levy County, by
the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Alachua and Levy Counties, so long as such necessity
may or shall exist.

and thereupon comes a jury, to wit:

who were sworn well and truly to try the issue between the said parties, and a true
evidence verdict give therein according to evidence
Samuel Saunders, George Bryant, John D. McKinlay, Robert Youngblood and
Horace Merry, were sworn to give evidence on the part of the Plaintiff
The Defendant not offering to produce evidence in his behalf. The Jury after
hearing testimony, and the arguments of Counsel and the Charge of the Court, retired
to deliberate upon their verdict, and returned into Court, and say day find for
the Plaintiff and assess his Damages at One hundred and twenty Dollars and
twenty five cents.
