      Monday  December 10th  1855
Henry Stokes           }  McLin
      vs John G. Rawls }  Assumpsit
Edgwin S. Gunnell      } Mitchell Smith & Bradford
               And now on this day came the parties by
their respective attorneys, and the defendant saying nothing
in bar or preclusion of the plaintiffs said action hereof.  It is
ordered by the Court that the plaintiff do have his judgement 
against the said defendant by default for want of a
plea, and that the Clerk do assess the damages. Whereupon
the Clerk having assessed the damages at Two hundred & 
Sixty Seven dollars and ninety eight cents ($267.98) It is further
ordered considered and adjudged by the Court that the
said plaintiff do have and recover of and from the said
defendant the said sum of Two hundred and sixty seven
dollars and ninety Eight cents together with his cost in
this behalf expended taxed at two dollars and Eighty four
($2.84) cents, and the defendant in mercy &c

($2.02) and the defendant in mercy &c

                   And now on this day came the plaintiff by
his attorney William Edwards, and moved the Court to dismiss
the cause:  which said motion was entertained by the
Court.
