              On this day this cause came on to be heard
and it appearing to the Court that a decree pro confesso 

State of Florida     }     Solicitor
       vs            }  Larceny
Isham Peacock        }     McIntosh & Wheaton
              And now on this day came the Solicitor James
M. Baker, who prosecutes the pleas of the State in this behalf
as well as the prisoner in his own proper person, who having
entered the plea of Not Guilty, thereupon came a Jury to wit
Isaac F. Blair, Isaac Johns, Benjamin T. Reives, John H. Ellis
Joseph Sapington, Jeremiah Gamage, James Garner, William
E. Stephens, Elias Earle, Burrell T. Stokes, James Butler and
John S. Perry, who having been duly sworn well and
truly to try and a true deliverance make between the State of
Florida and the prisoner at the bar, having heard the
testimony of witnesses, the arguments of Counsel, and the Charge
of the Court, retired in charge of a sworn Bailiff to consider
of their verdict, and thereafter, to wit on the same day re-
turned into open Court and rendered the following verdict, to wit
We the Jury do find the prisoner Not Guilty: Whereupon
there appearing nothing further against the prisoner, It
is ordered by the Court that he be discharged

State of Florida      }     Solicitor
       vs             } Stealing a Slave
John H. May           }
                  On this cause being called the prisoner
was arraigned and plead not guilty. There not being time
to try the cause at this term of the Court and it appearing
that the prisoner is in delicate health by consent of Solicitor
It is ordered by the Court that the prisoner do enter into
a recognizance at Ten thousand dollars for his appear-
ance at the next term of the Court: Whereupon
the principal John H. May, and his sureties William
May, Samuel R. Johnson and Harry Graddock appeared
in open Court and acknowledged themselves indebted to
the State of Florida in the said Sum of Ten Thousand
dollars:  That is to Say, the principal John H. May
in the Sum of Ten Thousand Dollars, and his Sureties
