             Monday May 12th A.D. 1856

A.C. McRory            }    Means
          vs           }  assumpsit
Patrick Philips        }    Call & Fleming
              And now on this day came the plaintiff by his attorney
and the defendant saying nothing in bar or preclusion of the plain-
tiff's said action hereof against him, on motion of plaintiffs attorney
It is ordered by the Court that the plaintiff do have his judgment
against the defendant by default for want of a plea, and that the
Clerk do assess the damages, Whereupon the Clerk having assessed
the plaintiffs damages at One hundred & forty ---- Dollars and
forty ----------- cents, It is further ordered adjudged and
decreed that that plaintiff do have and recover of and from the
defendant the said sum of Five One hundred & forty Dollars and
fifty forty cents together with his costs in this behalf
Expended Taxed at Five    Dollars and fifty
cents and the defendant in mercy &c.

J.S. & S.D. Perry}  Coker
       And now on this day came the plaintiff by his attorney
and moves the Court for a Judgment by default for want of a
plea, and that the Clerk do assess the damages, and the Clerk
having assessed the Damages at Two hundred & eighteen Dollars
and eighty ------- cents It is ordered considered and
adjudged by the Court that the plaintiff do have and recover of
and from the defendant the said sum of Two hundred & eighteen Dollars
and eighty      cents for his damages together with his costs
in this behalf Expended taxed at Five      Dollars and
seventy cents and the defendant in mercy &c

Joshua P. Hawkins     }    Edwards
            On motion of plaintiffs Attorney It is ordered by the
Court that this cause be dismissed and that Defendant do pay
the costs.
