And now on this day came the Solicitor (by his deputy
F.J. Wheaton) who prosecutes the pleas of the State in this behalf as well as
also the defendant in his own proper person and the defendant waiving formal
arraignments plead "Guilty" and submits to the Judgment of the Court,
Whereupon It is ordered considered and adjudged by the Court, that
the said defendant do pay a fine of twenty five Dollars and the costs
of this prosecution Taxed at Dollars and
cents and that be stand committed until said fine and
costs are paid and the defendant in mercy &c

The defendant having been arrested and brought before
the Court It is ordered that he Enter into recognizance with good and
sufficient security in the sum of One Thousand Dollars condition
ed for his appearance at the next Term of the Court, Whereupon the
defendant produced one Thomas Tillis as his Said Security and
being accepted by the Court the said defendant and the said
Tillis were severally bound in the sum of one Thousand Dollars
Each to the Governor of Florida upon condition aforesaid, and
the case was continued until the next Term
