The Court then proceeded to call the criminal Docket
as follows,

vs } Recieveing Money from Slaves

Now on this day came the parties
and issue being joined, whereupon the following named
persons were called and sworn as jurors to wit, Michael
McCarrol, Henry Bauknight, Giles W. Ellis, William Sapp Jessee
Hagan, George W. Boston, James Fergusson, Richard Stokes
Samuel Piles, B.D. White, H.C. Wilson and H. Merry who
haveing been duly empannelled and sworn and haveing heard
the evidence and argument retired to deliberate upon
their verdict and thereafter and upon the same day
the same jury returned into Court and delivered
the following verdict "We the Jury find the defendant
guilty, Henry Bauknight foreman."
The Grand Jury came into Court and made
