The Board met pursuant to adjournment of yesterday
Present James Chesnut President, A.E. Acee, J.D. Matheson
and Henry McIntyre,

Ordered that the Jail be received of Col W.J.
Lawton and that the amt of the Ballance
due to wit thirty two hundred dollars be paid
the Said W.J. Lawton the Same being the
Sixth and total payment due on the contract
for building the Same $3200.00
869.
Ordered that whereas John D. Young assessor
for the County has returned the amount of
taxable property assessed at the Sum of one
Million Four hundred and Eighty Six thousand and two
hundred and Seventy dollars; Therefore it is ordered
that a tax of Four Mills be levied for County tax proper
and a tax of Three Mills be levied for Internal Improvements
purposes, for year 1878; .870.
Ordered that H.M. Hand be admitted to the East
Florida seminary as provided for by law,

Ordered that J.M. Brown Beckham Adkins and
Thomas A. Johnson be appointed Road Commissioners
on the Road from Gainesville and Micanopy
to Patatka vice the other Commissioners failed to
Qualify,

Ordered that the Communication from Joseph
Vogle be laid on the table

Ordered that the account of L.A. Barnes
for repairs to Court House for the Sum of Forty
Eight Dollars be allowed and paid for the Same,

for Candles furnished the Circuit Court
at the Spring term for the Sum of two |
