Gainesville Fla August 4th 1879-
Thirty ($30,000) Thousand Dollars and whereas the act
of the Legislature of Florida approved March
2nd AD1877. Entitled an act relating to County Bonds
requires that Such Bonds shall not be issued save
by vote of the people of the County.  Be it therefore
Resolved
       By said Board of County Commissioners
that County Bonds be issued to the amount of
not more than Thirty ($30,000) Thousand Dollars
for the purposes of funding the outstanding in-
debetness of the aforesaid County which said
Bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six per
cent (6%) per annum which interest is to be paid
semi annually to wit on the 1st day of January
and July of each year respectively Provided
that said Bonds shall not be sold at less than
95ยข on the dollar and shall have such form
and denomination as may be decreed expedient
by said Commissioners; Provided further that the prin-
cipal of said Board shall be made payable
and redeemable on or before the 1st day of January
AD1900=
Resolved That an Election by the qualified voters
of Alachua County be held under the provisions
of law to vote upon the question of the issuance
of said Bonds those voting for the issuance
to have written or printed on the ballots "For Bonds"
and those voting Contra to have written or printed "Against
Bonds" the said election to take place at the usual
voting hours and in the usual voting places when the
last general election was held in said County on
the Ninth day of September 1879 - and to be conducted
in all respects as provided by act of the Legis-
lature of Fla Chap 2088 Laws of Fla in act of 1877
Resolved
      That the Clerk of this Body do give these reso-
lutions publication as required by said act and
that he do provide Inspectors of Election with all
neccessary p***** and Instructions for said Election
Ordered        1160
     That S.H. Wienges be paid Two 10/100 Dollars
for Buckets &c for Jail                       $2.10
