  The sad news of the recent decease
of our Countys Citizen and member of our
Board Mr J.E.W. Markey having been **
********* to our body therefore be it
resolved by this Board of County Com-
missioners that we deeply deplore and
regret the death of Mr Markey and in his
decease we recognize not alone the great
loss to our County which it sustains by
his removal as one of the most prompt
and efficient members of this Board
but we keenly feel his loss as a Citizen
friend and neighbor
Resolved that this Board tender its
profoundest sympathy and Condolence
to the bereaved family of the deceased
and may the good Shepherd of all our
destinies tenderly temper the minds
caused by the Keen edge of this their
great Sorrow
Resolved
       That on a page of the Minuts
of the Board of County Commissioners
of Alachua County be spread these
proceedings:  That a Copy be furnished
to the members of his family and that
the Press of the County be requested to
publish the same
