Board met subject to call of W.F. Rice President
pro tem - present messrs. Rice, Sanchez and Henry James,
also W.H. Belton Clerk.
The Board met the specific purpose of passing
the following Order; towit:
161 Ordered that the sheriff be directed to remove
the prisoner Pete Peterson from the Court Room
forthwith under the pains and penalties of a fine
to be imposed by this Board in consequence of his
disobedience to this Order. And it is further
162 Ordered that the Sheriff and all other persons as
Officers in charge of prisoners are hereby peremptorily
forbidden and restrained from confining prisoners
in said Court Room or any part of said building
in the future under pains & penalties of fine by
the Board as aforesaid.

Board met in regular session; present messers.
Rice, Sanchez, and Henry James; also W.H. Belton
Clerk.
163 Ordered, that the Clerk be authorized and required
to obtain the tax books of 1875 and have them on hand
for the use and reference of the Board as the meeting to be
held on next Tuesday, August 10th and then he give
notice thereof in order that all persons who desire
may have an opportunity to meet the Board in relation
to their assessments.
On motion Board adjorned to meet Tuesday
August 10th 1875.
